Design concept and conversion of a jewellry store — Luxembourg — 500 m² — 07/2023 — Les Ambassadeurs Luxembourg
Redesign of the jewellery ambassador residence
blocher partners has redesigned the Luxembourg branch of the jewellery company "Les Ambassadeurs". Our interior designers created a harmonious atmosphere in the listed building, which impresses with high-quality materials and a uniform design line.
Luxembourg is one of the richest countries in the world. The Grand-Rue, the Grand Duchy's most important shopping street, is correspondingly elegant. Since 2019, a branch of "Les Ambassadeurs Luxembourg", which has made a name for itself in the premium watch segment, has also been located here. The Luxembourg branch is located in a listed building and extends from the basement to the first floor. Les Ambassadeurs Luxembourg" commissioned the interior designers at blocher partners to redesign the premises and shop windows. With our expertise in the luxury segment, we were able to optimally realise the client's demanding wishes.
On the ground floor, visitors are greeted by a world of luxury watches, while the jewellery department and bar are located on the upper floor. A VIP room on this floor and customer service in the basement round off the offer. One of the interior designers' main concerns was to give the entire store a uniform framework in which the individual brands could have their own presence without falling apart. On the one hand, they achieved this with a white stucco wall, the undulating shape of which gives the room a dynamic appearance. The staircase was panelled with white pigmented ash, which is shaped in concave fluting. The flooring is also of a uniformly high quality: herringbone parquet flooring in oak is framed by tiles like a gemstone on a ring.
The free-standing furniture is partly made of onyx - in light or dark colours depending on the department - and partly of cement, the upper part of which is covered with a white glaze. While the watch department is more in green and black, pink dominates in the jewellery department. The product presentation is repeatedly interrupted by seating islands, some of which are separated from the room by screens and curtains, thus offering cosy retreats.
