New design and construction of a flagshipstore — Dorotheen Quartier, Karlstraße 4, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany — 89 m² — 2017 — Peter Stupp Design Mode GmbH
Royal design
Founded in 2006 in Freiberg, Rich & Royal is among Germany’s fastest-growing brands and is found in more than 22 countries today. This fashion label aims to transmit a positive attitude toward life. Its collection is hot: New trends are always spiced up with a dash of glamour.
Back in 2014, blocher partners shops designed Rich & Royal’s first flagship store in the Mall of Berlin, and came up with a monobrand concept. Numerous stores followed, as well as shop-in-shop systems in KaDeWe Berlin, Hamburger Alsterhaus or branches of Appelrath-Cüpper and trade fair stands in Amsterdam, Moscow and Paris. blocher partners shops also designed the 90-square-meter flagship store in the newly opened Dorotheenquartier in downtown Stuttgart. This shop profits from its prominent location across from the Breuninger department store, and its two glass facades give the space its light-filled character.
The store design epitomizes the brand development: The designers of this fashion label are going younger, more feminine, and lighter so as to reach women between the ages of 20 and 45. Elegant materials like marble and patinated steel reflect the quality of the designs and form the perfect presentation background. A structured, concrete-look floor creates a vintage ambiance; spacious, light-filled try-on rooms with rosé-colored fabric interiors convey value and comfort. A central ceiling installation adds zest to the interior: two interlocking metal grids festooned with hanging lamps make the entrance and the checkout area really stand out. From A to Z, the flexible presentation system ensures clean, clear structures for a fashion label that’s going places.
