Iconic shopping experience
After Ahmedabad, the joint venture is now building a second mall in Surat. Here, too, strong brand architecture is required to emphasize a luxurious shopping experience. The striking entrances have a strong impact from a distance and make a powerful statement upon entering.
In keeping with the flair of historic Surat, the facade appears to drape the building like a curtain; the »weave«, a flat yet three-dimensional diamond structure, reveals its own depth from every perspective. Inside, this delicately ornamented structure opens up into a lightflooded canyon that connects differently sized halls into a sequence of spaces. The materials, colors and finishes are inspired by the culture of Surat.
