New construction of a flagship store including a showroom — Königsallee 88, 40212 Düsseldorf, Germany — 1,100 m² — 2011 — Victorinox AG

Modern out of tradition

Already from afar, the flagship of Victorinox in the pole shopping location draws customers to it with its elegant, double-storey glass facade and the striking company emblem; and captures them completely when stepping into the 1100 m2 brand world centred on the red Swiss knife.

Whilst the showroom of Victorinox on the upper floor is reserved for traders only, the entire Victorinox product range awaits visitors on the ground and basement floors, ranging from world-famous Swiss army knives to household and professional knives, watches and luggage all the way to clothing and fragrances. The innovative store design embodies perfectly the philosophy of the Swiss company which is based on values such as tradition, quality, functionality and design. Thus oak, rough brick walls or black steel represent the identity, concrete suggests the progressive, steel alludes to the basis of knife making and the colour red creates the connection to the origin of Victorinox – the Swiss pocket knife.
