New construction and rebuilding Rose Biketown — Werther Straße 44, 46395 Bocholt, Germany — 6,000 m² — 06. 2016 — Rose Bikes, Bocholt, Germany

Better, faster, stronger

The multiple awarded store of Rose Biketown in Munich led the way: the connection of analog and digital has arrived in our daily life. For the store in Bocholt, the planners transferred the concept on 6,000 square meters and designed it even more interactive and more customer friendly. Since 2003, blocher partner has been collaborating with Rose Bikes. Its accomplishments include the new conception of a store for the bike specialist in Munich.

Customers use iPad pedestals to configure their bike and then check the individual result on three big screens. Thanks to so-called beacons they receive information and offers everywhere in the store with their smartphone or tablet. There has probably never been a more convenient way to buy a bike. Customers can start the configuration at home with their loyalty card, access the data in the store and continue the design of their bike right there. If they do not have a card, they start in the store and the data is saved on a shopping card which can be used at home to continue the configuration.

Real life community

Under the motto "more emotions and experience" customers can not only buy a bike but also test every-thing that goes with it: at a pump station they can test all air pumps; a GPS stations helps to find the right navigation system; perfectly fitting bike glasses can be chosen by using a wind simulator and a dark room allows for light tests under realistic conditions.

Product highlights are lavishly staged and the presentation of new products is enhanced by showcasing special assortments. After testing, configuring and shopping, customers can have a coffee in the community lounge on the first floor. This is a new meeting point for customers as well as bike tour groups. Free Wifi round out the digital offer in the modernized Rose Store and enhances the quality of stay.
