Contemporary re-interpretation of the classic farmer’s chair
A contemporary re-interpretation of the classic farmer’s chair: The designers were inspired by cosy farm kitchens to come up with a chair that stands out for the precise craftsmanship. They relied in the process on traditional mortise-and-tenon joints; the reduced visual appearance is a product of having merged the back legs and back struts to form a single component. Solid wood provides not only an authentic feel but also a multi-sensery experience. The chair, which was developed together with furniture makers horgenglarus, was deployed for the first time in »Rothaus im Gerber« in Stuttgart.
