Revitalisation and conversion into a service centre and academy of public administration — Rheinlandstraße 10, 71636 Ludwigsburg, Germany — 15,000 m² — 1991 — Max Maier
Business meets culture
Production has moved into modern premises a while ago. The architects found an industrial complex that remains without a function. Time seemed to be up for the factory ensemble. However, demolition was not an option. The structures that have been outlived by technical progress shall have a rejuvenation and new ideas shall create a sustainable continued use. The revitalization was done carefully. The architects respected what was yesterday. The past became forward-looking through the integration of modern forms and materials. Creative companies now feel at home in the complex after the revitalization.
