From Separation to Connection: Accessible Wayfinding Systems
On 21 October 2026, Thorsten-Alexander Karl from typenraum will be a guest at Hospitalhof Stuttgart, offering insights into accessible wayfinding systems. The event is part of the “Architecture and Ethics” series and is held in cooperation with aed Stuttgart. At its core is the question of how design can facilitate orientation, reduce barriers and support participation. Using the Betty Hirsch School Centre of Nikolauspflege as an example, he will show how different perceptual needs can be addressed within a multisensory wayfinding system.
