blocher partners opens new office in Munich
With a new office in Munich, we are sending a clear signal of our proximity to the market and our commitment to dialogue with the industry. The Bavarian capital is considered the economic and cultural center of the German-speaking world, with a steadily growing importance for architecture and building culture.
blocher partners has been active in the region for many years, with projects ranging from high-quality residential and office buildings to retail spaces. Further projects are set to start shortly, including new residential buildings and workspaces. "We see this as a great opportunity. While it is now possible to work anywhere in the world, markets are becoming more local again and it is important to be on site.
We are strengthening our visibility and, last but not least, the Bavarian capital is a hub for architectural debates – ideal for expanding our network and maintaining our reputation," says Benjamin Blocher. Florian Beck will head up the new office at Georgenstraße 22. The architect and urban planner studied in Stuttgart, Chicago, and Harvard and has over 30 years of international project experience.
As a long-standing lecturer at the Technical University of Munich, he has close ties to the local architecture scene.
With the move to Munich, blocher partners is focusing on regional proximity, transdisciplinary work, and the goal of actively shaping the architecture and urban development landscape.
