Nittel has been an established name in Freiburg for over 80 years. The jeweller has now expanded to Baden-Baden, where it has found a suitable shop in a listed building in the old town. Following the renovation, the façade of the building is now a stylish dove blue, realised by the architects in close consultation with the heritage office: the stucco elements were renewed and the windows on the first floor were replaced with those with classic window crosses.

A calm and dignified atmosphere

The planners also took up and renewed the existing architecture inside the shop. The existing staircase remained unchanged, but was fitted with a new travertine floor covering. Sophisticated wall panelling made of dark walnut wood in combination with cream-coloured stucco underlines the jeweller's high standards. The staircase panelling made of stucco with a wave structure blends in harmoniously.

The salesroom is dominated by a light-coloured parquet floor in a classic herringbone pattern. The colour scheme throughout the interior is kept in natural beige tones and muted colours, which create a calm and dignified atmosphere and are reminiscent of the Freiburg flagship store.
