EmiLu Design Hotel Nominated for the Baden Architecture Prize
Public Voting Begins in the Hospitality Category
The EmiLu Design Hotel in Stuttgart is one of three projects nominated for the 2026 Baden Architecture Prize in the Hospitality category. Following the selection by the expert jury, it is now up to the public to decide: Online voting for the project is open through October 16, 2026.
The EmiLu emerged from the transformation of a 1960s administrative building. The interior, developed under the direction of partner Anja Pangerl, combines nuanced color schemes and materials with curated mid-century furniture, design classics, and custom-selected lighting fixtures.
The lobby, restaurant, 90 rooms and suites, and the rooftop lounge are all characterized by a common design language. In this way, the EmiLu combines an urban character with a personal, homey atmosphere while demonstrating the potential that lies in the redevelopment of existing buildings.
