Sustainable interior design: Bründl Kaprun receives platinum certification

The extension of the Bründl flagship store in Kaprun, which is currently under construction, was pre-certified by the Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estate (ÖGNI) with platinum in the areas of interior design and restaurant based on the DGNB-criteria. For the assessment, sustainability is considered on the basis of ecological, economic, socio-cultural and functional factors. Technology, processes and location also play a role.

The interior designers have succeeded in creating a concept for the five-level sales area that combines a high aesthetic standard and great experiential and recreational qualities with sustainable planning that takes into account all aspects from the large to the small. Particularly noteworthy are the high indoor air quality, the responsible resource extraction, the low-pollutant and low-risk finish and the barrier-free accessibility. The concept was also rated very well by ÖGNI in terms of recyclability and energy efficiency as well as climate protection.

Certification is also being sought for the architecture of the striking building.
